Regardless of how bad the situation is or how stressed out you are, you should always keep yourself motivated to continue to stay strong and be more optimistic. Don’t always rely on other people or things to make you feel better or keep you motivated. The best motivator should really be yourself because you should know what you want and know what makes you happy.

Officially done with this spring semester. This semester everything seemed to fly by. It’s been kind of crazy; I don’t know what happened with my time or what I’ve been doing but it’s gone. I guess I’m glad it’s finally over but there’s more to come. I guess all I can do is to look forward and keep chugging on. I will definitely be working hard to do a lot better this upcoming summer semester. Kind of crazy that the semester is starting again in a week and two days. Things are moving sooo fast. We’re doing diabetes this summer. Getting my project up and running. Working up that group community outreach project. Monthly meeting. Setting up nationals stuff. School. Life. RAness. Student Orgs.
Bring it on.
Day 3 of Finals Food Week: We had boloco which was pretty awesome.
Day 4 of Finals Food Week: We had Dunkin’ in the morning.
Day 2 of Finals Food Week:
So hall council and the ra staff decided to partner up and spend over $600 on cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! The cheesecake was very yummy and gone pretty fast!
In the morning, there was also Panera for all the residents!
Day 1 of Finals Food Week:
Cupcakes from Kick*** cupcakes! This is a food truck that goes around Boston and their main store is located in Somerville!
Last week I went to an orientation/retreat thing for the Schweitzer Fellowship. It was an amazing weekend. Overall the people were very friendly and very engaged in making the world a better place through service and actively helping out those around them. I definitely feel like this is a bigger project than I projected it to be; that aside, it’s pretty cool.
We were treated to lunch, dinner, breakfast, and lunch again. The dessert was pretty delicious (as was all the other meals); we had a 7up cake with some berry sauce topped with ice cream!
During the entire weekend we were able to self reflect on our past, our current status, and where we want to go in the future. It was nice to map things out. Even though I still have no idea where I want to go, it’s nice to see how far I’ve come. I can’t wait for the year to progress and see myself grow both personally and professionally as well as build friendships with the other fellows! Adventure and memories here I come!
I’m like,
So yesterday I was super tired yesterday and fell asleep 7pm and woke up at 3am. Crazy that I got 8 hours of sleep and woke up at 3 am. I decided to bake the cupcakes for K. Zheng! They were cappuccino cupcakes with cinnamon coffee frosting dusted with cocoa powder. Pictures to come!
I’ve been awake for 21 hours now. Need sleep.
Can’t wait for my next baking adventure!
Today I went to Sturbridge, MA for a conference about diabetes. While we were here, our professor took us out to dinner which was overall amazing. We went to a restaurant called Rovezzi’s. I ordered a sirloin with homemade gnocchi and asparagus. For desert I had a Crostada which was an apple tart with vanilla ice cream. The food was delicious and I wish I could come back again soon!
